You can organize, edit and share it from any computer at “drive.google.com”, or on the go with the Drive mobile app which you can easily purchase from the App Store. Get apps for Android and iOS on your cell phone and/or tablet, and then be able to access everything you keep in Drive from wherever you are, whenever you want.
            The best part of it all is that if you have a group project, then you can “share” the document, spreadsheet, or presentation and you can all work on it at the same time on separate computers. Google Docs simplifies the educational life that much more and relieves the stress of splitting up an assignment and working on it at separate times and any other stresses or difficulties that come about.

Critical Analysis of a Current Trend in Technological Communication {Facebook}

Facebook is defined as “a social utility that connects people with friends and others who work, study and live around them”. It was founded February 4, 2004 by Mark Zuckerberg, Dustin Moskovitz, Eduardo Saverin, and Chris Hughes. People can make a bunch of new friends on this network and share photos with the world. This network sounds very open and it can be; however, you can change your privacy settings which is usually how must users feel it should be. Plenty of employers will research you and if they find photos or statuses that you’ve taken and typed that they don’t find to be professional, you will lose that opportunity. Facebook can be a very optimistic website for everyone to get to know each other a little better; however, it can also go in the complete opposite direction if the wrong people are using it.
            “Facebook’s not just for keeping tabs on friends and filling out quizzes — it can also be used as a highly effective business tool. It’s great for marketing your products, landing gigs and connecting with your customers”. Facebook usually has ads on the right-hand side bar and it could potentially help improve businesses. Even though Facebook gives you the opportunity to upload photos and post statuses and all that jazz, it also allows you to “like” a page. If for example your business isn’t doing relatively well, you can spread the word about it and have people “like” the page on Facebook and it will receive more attention.
            This website can improve your friendships and also form new ones. If someone sees that you have a lot in common or sees that you have a lot mutual friends, they may want to send you a friend request. The possibilities are truly endless with the amazing functions available with this website. Even though we love to meet new people and share our stories and secrets, it may not always be the best idea in this modern time. Many people give out to information and leave their profile very public and can end up being stalked or even in a very intense situation, killed from being too open. Everyone needs to have privacy settings where only your friends can see what you do and say and make sure you really know those “friends” on Facebook in real life.
            Facebook also helps actors, musicians, and other celebrities trying to reach the top of fame. Most celebrities have fan pages and the more “likes” they get, the more known and popular they become. A lot of videos are embedded onto Facebook and millions of users watch them daily. This fragment of Facebook really helps the entertainers out there trying to become big in the showbiz world.
            News is constantly being spread throughout Facebook. There is always news about this actor and that singer. Some of it may be rumors, but a lot of it is usually true and there will even be links to an article to better help you understand the issue at hand. The news may be exciting and joyful, but it can also be depressing and upsetting. Either way, Facebook helps diffuse those stories to the public.
            We also know that this wonderful website allows to play games such as “Farmville”. We have all gotten those pesky game requests from our friends that drive us up the wall, but Facebook gets us hooked on that silly stuff. Facebook is very sneaky and has lured us all in, even our parents of this generation to register for an account and become addicted. There are endless uses for this website that we don’t take into account.

Due to this, you need to be careful with what you post on any social network and stay professional. Critical Analysis of a Current Trend in Technological Communication {Twitter}

Twitter is described as a place where you can, “Instantly connect to what's most important to you. Follow your friends, experts, favorite celebrities, and breaking news”. T.W.E.E.T. stands for target, write, engage, explore, and track. People believe that social media is a terrible thing, and in some cases it could be seen that way, but if it is used correctly, then it is a great tool. This app lets people voice their opinion on any topic that they can think of. The total number of active registered Twitter users is estimated to be 554,750,000 people. It’s crazy to think that I am just one of the users included in that very large statistic. Some of the reasons why Twitter is used are to simply participate in the new phenomenon of tweeting, to communicate with your followers or group, to communicate with the World-at-large, to archive your online and/or offline activities, and for branding a product or service, because it’s required by a school assignment.
Twitter allows you to promote your business in a positive light. The social app connects you to your a larger audience of customers world-wide. Engaging with your customers will allow your business to grow and become more popular, especially when using hashtags. Due to the large amount of followers one may have on twitter, it becomes easier to “spread the word”. Twitter was once used to help the unemployed. This project brought attention to many people and made a true difference. On the other hand, Twitter can be used negatively when socializing with other people. It can cause drama and can practically set a rude tone that may not even be existent.
Even in the white house Twitter is a huge problem to look out for. A White House national security staffer was reportedly fired for Twitter postings under alias and that is a serious issue that we should pay regards to. Jofi Joseph was his name and the account, titled @natsecwonk, was deleted last week. The posts never mentioned any detailed and high classed information; however, it did contain details that should not have been put out to the public in any which way or form. The tweets discussed unappealing views on Obama’s administration policies and administration officials.
Twitter can also help shine some light on a new TV show, movie, or talk show, for example. It can gain popularity and become very successful due to the large audience. From another point of view, people can make rude comments on that TV show, movie, or talk show and that program can become unsuccessful as well depending on the “consumer” of the “product”.This app can project news across the world rapidly, which can be important for foreign countries; however maybe the United States wants to keep that information to themselves in case that information should not have been given out to the public just yet. From a recreational point of view, a simple random tweet may be funny to some of the public and may be “retweeted” or “favorited”. Others may find that random tweet to be offensive to let’s say their religion, sexual preference, or anything else of the sort.
Twitter can be abused by users called trolls. These “trolls” are people who use their accounts to send out abusive messages directly to another individual. In order to prevent these people from getting away with this you can easily use the block button, report abusive tweets or spam, report abusive tweets to the police, force accounts reported as abusive into "protected tweet" mode, flag repeat offenders with a yellow flag, which appears on their account details, and many other solutions are available online.

Modern Dance

"Great dancers are not great because of their technique, they are great because of their passion."
-Martha Graham
